Raphael Mantello, president of Altigliss
“Our commitment is to protect the magnificent setting in which takes place our event . We are aware that gathering so much students in a same place can have a detrimental effect on the environment and we strive to preserve our beautiful mountains . “
Our actions during the GEM Altigliss Challenge
In order to make this event environmentally responsible event, we took several decisions :
- Mandatory reusable glasses on the village
- Pocket ashtrays
- A waste sorting
- Balanced meals prepared by our partner Lidl
- A stand for sustainability of the village
On the other hand, the association’s new project is to host a local producer who can sell local products to students and promote the production of proximity.
Our actions during the year
The association is very involved regarding sustainable development. She agrees to limit its impressions and develops increasingly its communication through the web. She sets up an online store this year for online registration , limiting the use of paper.
The association also tries to travel with cleaner transport : bus, train, car sharing, rental vans …
Moreover, Altigliss wants to assess its carbon footprint this year to measure the progress made in recent years and analyze areas for improvement.
